Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s time for chocolate, flowers, and lots of heart-shaped goodies for you and your special someone! A box of chocolates is always a classic gift to give on this holiday, so here’s a recipe for some really cute mini chocolate box cakes.
Wow, it’s been a while since I last posted! Sorry for the break, October was just an unbelievably busy month for me. But on the bright side, November is here, which means we’re getting closer and closer to the holidays! And I am sooo ready for Christmas!!
It’s almost Chinese New Year, the year of the monkey! Dumplings are one of my favorite Chinese New Year foods, and one of my favorite Chinese foods in general. So, to celebrate this special holiday, I made some super cute candies that look just like a mini version of the actual thing.
When I was young, my mother used to be in love with these Taiwanese milk-flavored nougat candies. We didn’t buy them all the time since they weren’t cheap, but when we did, we couldn’t keep our hands out of the box. They were white in color with almonds mixed throughout, and were quite hard and solid until you popped one into your mouth, where it would then magically soften into an irresistibly chewy, milky, decadent gob.
